Situated at Toppas, Nuwara Eliya at an elevation of 1850m / 6069.55 ft, the area enjoys year round rainfall with highs of around 226.mm around October and lowest about March with approximately 71.5 mm at year round temperatures oscillating between the lowest on average of about 9.4 Degrees C and highest in June at 13.3 Degrees Celsius. The ecology supports crops including carrots, beet, leeks, lettuce, potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, tomato, strawberry. The farm plans to convert existing land into a greenhouse and introduce vertical faming practices, to increase volumes and reduce consumption of water and fertilizer by approximately 90%. The introduction of technology will permit the farm to extend its crop line to bell pepper, lettuce, strawberry and cabbage.
